BizX Lateral Processes

Now that we have developed a strategy, aligned the structure to achieve the strategy, and have role clarity, we need to provide processes that drive communication and collaboration. This is where people meet to share learnings, plan activities, and execute the work.

Lateral processes help “de-silo” the organization and improve communication at all levels. For example, at the leadership level, leaders must implement a strategy review meeting to manage the execution of the plan. While managers and team leads coordinate the work activities of others, they are responsible for the tactical execution of operations.  By establishing common goals, communication processes, and sharing metrics, the result will be a collaborative behavior.
